Author's POV:
It was late in the night. The college is going to start after one month. Siya is too much excited but still there is one month left.
She was doing her skincare when suddenly she heard a sudden knocking on the door.
She quickly got up and open the door only to find Adhir standing there. His hair was slightly damp from sweat and his forehead has lines creasing on it.
" Bhai!! What happened? It's late in the night. Everything fine??" She asked sensing the tension and worry in the air.
"Come downstairs" he said, not meeting his gaze and move towards the downstairs.
Siya didn't say anything and follow him downstairs to the living room only to find everyone sitting their.
" Siya we have fixed your wedding and it will take place after two days" her mother told here in a pleasing voice.
Siya let out a soft chuckle making everyone stare at her in disbelief.
" Mumma what is this? Why are you taking my job?" She said with amusement dancing in her eyes.
"Job?" Adhir asked her.
"Yes bhai. Means it's my job to play pranks on everyone but today mumma is playing prank on me that's why" she said casually not sensing the shift in air.
" I am not playing a prank on you I am very serious about this" her mother said sternly making Siya halt a little.
" Mumma I think I need to talk to her please give us 10 minutes!" Adhir said to Vani who gives a assuring nod to him.
With that Adhir took her to her private garden which is attached to her room.
"Bhai what the hell mumma was saying? Tell me it's a joke" siya asked him with a little hope that it was a lie.
" Siya this is all real. Now listen carefully to what I am going to say. This marriage is fixed for the sake of Dad's respect, pride and dignity and you have to agree on it." He was going to be interrupted by her but he showed his palm to her to stop her.
He side hug her and made both of them sit on the bench and started explaining.
" Baccha I know that it's hard for you to digest everything but all of this is happening for your own good. I know you are still so young for marriage but you have to do it. We are doing all this because of Dad's sacrifices and respect. He has a lot of hope from you. Please agree on it baccha" Adhir explained her with a pleasing and comforting tone.
" Bhai I didn't expect it from you. And okay I will agree to it. But what about my dreams, my ambition and my further studies. And moreover what about his family and him. I don't know him, his family." She asked him with a tension in her eyes.
With that Siya stood up and went to the railing in the garden. Adhir followed her and said
" Bachha he is a very good person and his family is also very understanding and they will never stop you from persuading your dream. And moreover he is the son of our Dad's bestfriend. I know you didn't meet him and Didn't know him but I know him, he is genuinely very good so do his son. And don't worry he is a earning person And he can afford the expenses of your chocolates." Adhir said the last line with a soft chuckle.
Siya smiled a little at his last line. She took her time and after thinking for sometime she said
"Fine. I am ready for this marriage but only for the sake of Dad's respect but I am not going to tell everyone as I am very sleepy you can go and tell everyone. Siya said with a faint smile on her face.
Adhir didn't pushed her further and bought her in a tight embrace and then he leave.
Siya stood there for a little and then with a little smile on her face she went to her room and started doing her interrupted skincare and then went to sleep.
The whole family was happy listening her decision and went to sleep.
But it was not same with Sidansh. When he got to know that his marriage is fixed and is going to take place after two days , he simply agreed to the decision.
His family was not shocked because......
Siya's POV:
The two days passed in the air and here I am sitting in front of the mirror dressed like a bride well I am the bride.
The wedding was not going to be grand because both families don't want to announce this wedding in front of the world. So do I.
But till now I didn't know who my groom is. I didn't see him. It was a exciting and nervous feeling.
I was lost in my thought when suddenly -
BANG! BANG! BANG!
I heard a loud and continuously banging on the door. I quickly got up and opened the door only to find Adhir bhai, Tushar bhai and Avinash bhai standing there beautiful kurtas.
After seeing them I let out a breath which I didn't know I was holding and they took me in a tight embrace.
"Bachhaaa!! You are looking very beautiful" Adhir bhai told me in a very soft voice.
After a little bit praising they took me downstairs.
I was walking down the Aisle when my eyes felt on someone in a off white sherwani. His body was captivating. His sharp jawline was making him more captivating.
A shiver ran down my spine on seeing him. He was looking breathtaking. I was just feeling an urge to kiss him right there in his lips.
I got out from my thought when I feel a hand on my shoulders. I turned and find my mother smiling on me. I smiled back at her.
Sidansh's POV:
I was lost in my thoughts when I heard the jingling of anklets and bangles. I turned only to see my woman coming down the aisle.
She was looking completely breathtaking. Her royal red lehenga was making her look deadly beautiful. Her net veil was covering her face till her cleavage. The moonlight was making her look more beautiful. Her golden jwellery was hugging her very effortlessly. Her red bangles was just making a very melodious sound. She was looking completely adorable. Completely mine.
When she came near the stairs I forwarded my hand to help her. She looked up through the veil and gave her hand to me. We reached the mandap(pavilion) and the rituals started. We steal quick glances at eachother.
The Varmala(garland) ceremony begin. I bent infront of her because she has a short height. Everyone started staring at me and even my biwi. But I didn't react.
The rituals goes on and then came the pheras. We both stood up to take pheras. Every pheras has a spiritual and emotional promise.
1. First Phera: Promise to provide food, home, and livelihood — a life of togetherness and prosperity.
2. Second Phera: Promise to build physical, mental, and spiritual strength together.
3. Third Phera: Promise to earn and grow wealth honestly and share happiness.
4. Fourth Phera: Promise to love, respect, and trust each other always.
5. Fifth Phera: Promise to care for and nurture children and family.
6. Sixth Phera: Promise to live in harmony and support each other in all situations.
7. Seventh Phera: Promise of eternal love, friendship, and lifelong companionship.
After the pheras ended we both took our respected seats. The Panditji ( priest) then said
" Ab aap vadhu ki maang mai sindur bhariye"( " Now fill the Bride's partition with vermillion")
She looked at me with those innocent doe like eyes. I didn't show any emotion but my heart was beating fast because of the way she was looking at me.
Then I took a pinch of sindur and filled her partition. She closed her eyes for saving the moment with love and happiness. Some sindur fall on her nose to which my brothers and my sister started hooting. Well I know why.
Then the priest said
"Ab aap vadhu ke gale Mai mangalsutra pehnaye"(" Now put the nupital chain around Bride's neck")
I did what he said and then he announced
"Aaj se aur abhi se aap dono pati- patni hue" ( From today onwards, you both are husband and wife.")
With that a small smile formed on her lips.
Oh god this girl was looking damn cute while smiling.
You can think about that later now focus on performing the rituals with your biwi.
I thought.
We went to all the elders and took blessings from them and the youngers gave us comforting hug.
Siya's POV:
He was stealing quick glances from me throughout the whole wedding but Didn't give a small smile to me.
Humphh!! Rude
With all that quick glances the wedding was over and now we were officialy husband and wife. But now it was the time for vidaai.
I was not crying when mumma, dad or anyone hugged me. But I burst out when Adhir Bhai hugged me.
"Shhh! Shhhh!! Baccha why are you crying. I am not going to leave you. Whenever you want you can come" Adhir bhai said while soothing my back.
His family was looking at me with moist in their eyes but he was staring at me with emptiness in his eyes.
Whatever.
" But what if they didn't let me come" I asked Bhai in childish tone which made everyone chuckle.
Then his mother said
" Beta from now onwards you are our daughter. You can do whatever you want. We are not restricting you." She said with a genuine and real smile on her face.
I can sense her truthfulness, care and her love.
"Pakka?? You won't restrict me from eating chocolates?" I asked her on which she simply chuckled and said
"No. I won't " she said patting my head.
And finally what felt like an eternity I left that place.
